We are a mother-and-daughter team—Patricia Buell (author) and Tamara Evette Levan (author & illustrator)—creating heartfelt picture books that celebrate kindness, imagination, and the quiet magic found in everyday life.

Our creative partnership began in 2019 with Little Bee and Old Bear, a story written by Patricia and brought to life through Tamara’s illustrations. That first book sparked something bigger—a dream to turn life lessons into stories and colorful books for children everywhere.

Storytelling has deep roots in our family. Patricia’s mother—and Tamara’s grandmother—affectionately known as Mimmie, taught in a one-room schoolhouse for nearly a decade. Her love of books led her to create a small library for her students, hoping every child could experience the joy of reading. Though her own novel was never published, her passion for storytelling and her dedication to children’s learning have inspired every generation since.

Patricia grew up writing poetry and stories of her own, filling notebooks with ideas that she would one day share with her daughter. Today, those stories continue to grow through Tamara’s illustrations, blending words and art across generations.

Together, we create stories that encourage wonder, kindness, and connection—stories that remind children (and grown-ups) to believe in themselves and in each other.

Through T.E.Artistry Children's Books, our mission is simple: to share stories that grow from the heart, rooted in love, imagination, and the spirit of a teacher who believed in the power of books.
